Our Story
Our insurance licensed associates, Dwight Callaham, CIC, dwight@paisllc.com, Holly Schieber, holly@paisllc.com and Lori Palmer, Lori@paisllc.com Phone # 501-392-6327, have over 50 years combined insurance experience within the Arkansas’ dental and professional community. Many of you will remember their working with Rebsamen, Regions and McGriff Insurance. They are knowledgeable in insurance products but most importantly they understand the insurance issues involved with
dental professionals and the types of insurance products needed and services you deserve.
So, if you are a dentist, an office manager, RDH, or RDA, and thus associated with the dental community, think PAIS!

Who We Are
Professional Association Insurance Services, LLC (PAIS) is 100% owned by the Arkansas State Dental Association.

Our office is within the association’s office. We are accountable to the ASDA and you, our valuable dental professional client.
We specialize in providing Professional Liability, Property/General Liability insurance for the dental professional primarily through the Dentists Choice Program. We also directly offer insurance advice and solutions concerning an individual’s disability, life, long term care and auto/home/umbrella insurance needs.

In addition, we have partnered with a number of professional insurance agents/agencies throughout Arkansas to provide advice and solutions that can include individual health and employee benefits insurance. When you contact those agents/agencies, you can be assured they will be qualified professionals...someone we trust to professionally assist you.

Workers Compensation

Disability
PAIS represents a number of individual disability insurance carriers, including Guardian, Standard and MetLife. Whether these products protect your income or your practice's overhead expenses, you can be assured the rates are guaranteed, coverage can't change, or coverage be withdrawn due to your Association membership. We are confident solutions can be found that will provide you with satisfaction knowing your income and/or practice expenses are protected should you be unable to practice dentistry.
Life
We understand many of our member dentist have term life insurance through the ADA. However, the amount or type of life insurance may not be what you desire or need. You can be assured PAIS will offer you quality programs like 30 year guaranteed term life rates or sophisticated index universal life programs that can be designed to help minimize taxes.
PAIS wants to bring you value added services like assisting you in making insurance choices you understand. We also have access to experienced and credentialed insurance professionals to help us bring this value added service to you, our valued client.
Auto, Home, Umbrella
We realize you may have already purchased your auto, home/renters insurance. Perhaps you purchased directly on-line. While it is easy to buy this way, many times the purchase is done “blindly” not fully understanding your exposures. While the lowest price is many times the reason for purchasing this insurance, the better reason may be the guidance you receive from the agent who provides the insurance to you. Because we specialize in providing insurance solutions to the dental professional, perhaps our business model could work better for you.
Individual Medical
Perhaps your employer has provided major medical as part of the employee benefits program and if so, normally, enrolling in the medical coverage is to your advantage since the employer pays a portion of your cost as an employee. However, to enroll your dependents may be extremely costly. It could be possible for you to obtain individual coverage at a lower cost to you. If that is the case, you may want to partner with PAIS to help you navigate the medical insurance maze.

Q&A
Change from PPP to Dentists Choice

Why are we making the switch from PPP to Dentists Choice? Starting in 2025, Brown & Brown is no longer affiliated with Aspen Insurance. We decided to stay with Aspen Insurance as they developed a new program, Dentists Choice. While our partnership is shifting, your coverage and service experience will remain uninterrupted.

Q: I currently have the Professional Protector Plan for Dentists (PPP). Is PAIS still my agent and should I contact you with any service questions or issues?
A: Yes, when your policy renews it will automatically renew with Dentists Choice, you do not have to do anything. You would contact PAIS with any service questions or changes you need to make. Q: What changes should I expect?
A: Other than the brand name change and look, all stays the same. Same insurance company, policy contract, rate filing, and billing options. Aspen will also not be charging the annual $50 policy fee.

Q: Why are you changing from Professional Protector Plan / Brown & Brown?
A: We think dealing directly with Aspen Insurance instead of going through Brown & Brown/PPP will improve service efficiencies in administration, claims and most importantly rate stability.

Q: Help me better understand what insurance coverages PAIS will be offering.
A: Our primary coverage will be the Dentists Choice program. This program entails Professional Liability (Malpractice), General Liability, Property for the dentist and their dental office. We will also have available individual life, disability and auto/home insurance programs not only for you but your ancillary personnel. Proceed through this web site for details.

Q: Why should I consider doing business with PAIS?
A: As an ASDA owned entity, PAIS is accountable to the ASDA and it’s member dentists. As a result, you can better be assured quality products and service standards are maintained.

Q: Why is ASDA entering into this insurance agency arrangement?
A: Two primary reasons: 1) To directly bring value added benefits to the ASDA member dentist and the dental community that can be professionally monitored to assure you that both quality products and service standards are met. 2) To achieve a profit that can then be used to provide broader ASDA membership benefits.
